Disclosures

Updated August 5, 2026

This page states the things you should know before you trade here, in plain language. It is not investment advice and it does not replace the user agreement.

What this platform is

UEX is a spot exchange. You buy and sell assets you own, settled immediately against your balance. There is no margin, no leverage, no lending and no derivatives product on this platform. If a feature you expect is missing, that is why.

Nothing here is advice

Prices, charts, rankings, indicators, strategy templates and educational material are information, not a recommendation. We do not know your circumstances and we do not assess whether a trade is suitable for you. Decisions are yours.

Market risk

Crypto-asset prices move fast and far, in both directions, and a position can lose all of its value. Liquidity can disappear, a spread can widen, and an asset can become untradeable. Never commit funds you cannot afford to lose.

How your orders are executed

Orders match on price-then-time priority in a single order book per trading pair. Two consequences worth knowing:

  • A limit order is a request, not a promise. It executes only if the market reaches it, and it can fill partially or not at all.
  • A market order takes the liquidity that exists at the moment it arrives. On a thin book it can execute at prices materially worse than the last trade — which is why we publish per-pair price bands, minimum and maximum quantities, minimum notional values and tick sizes, and reject orders outside them.

Some order types are conditional: stop, stop-limit, trailing, OCO, bracket. A conditional order becomes a live order only when its trigger price is reached, and the trigger is evaluated against our own market data. Triggering does not guarantee a fill at the trigger price.

We provide liquidity on our own books

This is the disclosure most exchanges bury, so it is stated first among the ones that follow. The platform operates its own automated accounts:

  • A market-making service that continuously posts two-sided limit orders on selected pairs to keep a book quotable.
  • A price-alignment service that, on selected pairs, compares our book with reference prices on external venues and trades inside our own book to reduce the gap.

Their orders are ordinary orders in the same book as yours, and they can be the counterparty to your trade. They receive the same fees and rebates as any other account, and their activity is included in the public market data you see. They do not see your unexecuted orders before the book does, and they get no priority, no fee exemption and no access to information other participants lack. Volume produced between two of our own accounts is tracked separately from customer volume and is not presented to you as customer activity.

Fees

Taker and maker fees apply per trade and depend on your tier and the pair. Two specifics that surprise people:

  • A fee is charged in the asset you RECEIVE. Buying with USDT, you pay the fee in the asset you bought; selling, you pay it in the quote asset. A report that sums both in one currency without converting is wrong, and ours convert.
  • A maker fee can be negative — a rebate paid to you for providing liquidity. Where that is the case, the number you see is a credit rather than a charge.

Fee schedules, VIP tiers and any UEXC-denominated discounts are published in the product and can change. Changes apply going forward, never retroactively to trades already executed.

Your balances

Your trading balance is held in accounts operated by the platform, split into an available part and a part frozen behind your open orders and pending operations. Frozen funds are yours; they are reserved so an order can settle. Deposits and withdrawals are handled by the UEX App account service, and a transfer between the two moves your money between two ledgers we reconcile continuously.

Balances held here are not bank deposits and are not covered by a deposit-insurance or investor-compensation scheme.

Automated strategies you run yourself

Grid trading, recurring buys, trailing take-profit and copy trading place real orders with your real balance, without asking again each time. You are responsible for what they do. Three specific risks:

  • A strategy keeps running while the market moves against it. A grid does not know that the trend broke.
  • Past results, including any performance figure shown for a trader you can copy, do not predict future results. Copying allocates your funds to somebody else's decisions.
  • Where a strategy is disabled by us — for a pair, a feature or globally — resting orders it already placed generally remain in the book. Switching a strategy off is not the same as cancelling its orders, and the product tells you which is which at the point where you do it.

Availability

Trading can be interrupted. A pair can be paused, trading can be halted globally, and the platform can be put into a read-only maintenance mode — by us, deliberately, when the alternative is worse. Scheduled and unscheduled interruptions are published at /status. During an interruption, cancelling orders and reading your balances generally remain available even when placing new orders does not.

Demo mode

The sandbox uses simulated balances on an isolated order book. Nothing in it has value, no result from it is transferable, and prices there are a copy of the live market, not the market itself.

Eligibility

Access depends on where you are and on the verification your account has completed. Some pairs are restricted to specific accounts or verification levels. We may refuse or discontinue service where we are required to.

Taxes

Your trading may create tax obligations. Working out and reporting them is your responsibility; we publish an export of your trade history so you can. We do not give tax advice.

Errors and cancelled trades

Where a trade results from a manifest error — a malfunction on our side, a corrupted price feed, or activity that breaches our market-abuse rules — we may cancel or adjust it, and we will say so and explain why. This power exists to protect the market, and it is used rarely and on the record.
